...Pregnancy is an important stage in a women’s life, a stage when she carries a baby in her. During pregnancy hormonal and body changes take place. Constipation is just another symptom that may occur.

Constipation happens to many pregnant women some has it just because they eat lots of junk food and other just has irregular bowel movements. This can stretch out from early stages of pregnancy until after delivery.

The reasons of this kind of constipation can be various. Some women can tear their rectal tissue during the birthing process. This is repaired usually after birth but this can be accompanied with a lot of pain during stool passing.

The result can be a very painful constipation for the women. If the women hold her stool, this will just worsen the situation and toxic waste can build up in the colon. Women who deliver via caesarian section can find that their bowel movement is just delayed for a period of time after delivery.

Many other factors can contribute to constipation some of them being stress, consuming caffeinated fluids, low fluid intake, increased level of stress, change in diet, lack of sleep.

There are solutions available to treat and possibly cure pregnancy constipation.

The most important of them all is eating foods high in fiber, lots of fruits avoid stress, exercise.

Avoid caffeinated drinks and drink lots of fluids. Calcium and vitamin supplements specially designed for pregnant women also help. Stool softeners can be another option, but be very careful and only use them for a short period of time because of their side effects.
